Kazakhstan Battling Heavy Air on Day 1

Chon Buri, 20 December – Day 1 of the SSL Gold Cup Asian Qualifier delivered a heavy-air test for Team Kazakhstan in Group B. The team nailed a great start in Race 1 and stayed in the fight upwind, but repeated spinnaker handling issues proved costly downwind. Stronger breeze in Race 2 raised the intensity, with close battles, broaches, and heavy manoeuvres across the fleet. Kazakhstan fought through the challenges to finish third in both races. A tough opening day, but the fight is far from over.
